LA County Property Valued at $1.76 Trillion for 2021

Los Angeles County Assessor Jeff Prang certified the 2021 Assessment Roll, reflecting economic growth for the 11th consecutive year with an increase in the assessed value of taxable property countywide.
The 2021 Assessment Roll (Roll) grew by $62.9 billion (or 3.7%) over the prior year to $1.76 trillion in total net value. While this overall value indicates growth, the total also reflects a reduction of $5.5 billion in business personal property, which includes machinery, equipment, boats and aircraft.
The reduction reflects the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the local economy. To recognize the impact specifically on small businesses, about 73,000 personal property assessments were proactively reduced in the hardest-hit areas.

Early Thursday morning (5 A.M. EST), Jackson family matriarch Katherine Jackson arrived home, safe and sound, with a police escort. after disappearing almost two weeks ago on July 15.
The happy reunion concludes an exhausting chapter of public family feuding, during which L.A. Superior Court Judge Mitchell Beckloff temporarily suspended Jackson as the guardian of her son Michael Jackson s three children (Prince, Paris, and Blanket).
In her place, Tito Jackson s 34-year-old son, TJ, was granted temporary custody.
The judge noted that Katherine had been prevented from doing her guardianship duties by intentional act from third parties, which are said to be Janet, Randy and Jermaine Jackson, TMZ reports.
