Sen. Joe Manchin
CHARLESTON – Earlier this year, as Joe Biden became president, another Democrat was being touted as the most powerful man in Washington.
Six months later, West Virginia Sen. Joe Manchin is living up to that moniker.
As perhaps the most moderate and centrist of the 50 Democrats in the U.S. Senate, Manchin’s decision could be the determining factor in a number of key votes in the coming months. Roberts
In these bipartisan times, a perfect example is the vote to eliminate the legislative filibuster – whether the debate centers on a commission to investigate the January 6 incident at the U.S. Capitol, Biden’s infrastructure package or even the Democrats’ election reform law.

MANHATTAN, Kan. More than three-fourths of North American beverage and food senior executives have plans in place for the next global pandemic, according to a new study by AIB International, Food Business News reports.
The survey found that 78% of food and beverage executives have made preparations for future pandemics.
“Even after the past year of disruption, almost half of respondents indicated they are still not adequately prepared with a plan for the future,” said Anne Coulter, managing director of Research Strategy Group, which conducted the survey for AIB International.
