Amazon s CEO Jeff Bezos is one of more than a dozen CEOs to announce plans to step down as chief executive from major companies like MGM, IBM, Ford, and Qualcomm over the last year.
This continues a trend seen in 2019 when 1,640 CEOs left their posts the most CEO departures on record.
Qualcomm Sinks Despite Earnings Beat
Qualcomm topped analysts earnings estimates and provided upside guidance, but revenue came in short and guidance for its patent licensing business missed estimates.

QCOM) - Get Report were falling after hours Wednesday after the company reported fiscal first quarter revenue that slightly missed estimates, and also gave sales guidance for its lucrative patent licensing division that was below expectations.
The San Diego-based chip designer reported first quarter revenue of $8.24 billion on diluted earnings of $2.12 per share. Analysts were expecting the company to report revenue of $8.27 billion with earnings of $2.10 per share.
