Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon lie in wait for Gill Ferguson, Dianne Scott, Jennifer Paton and mum and daughter Susan and Claire Dyce during August’s Three Peaks Challenge. Perth teenager arrested after high value vandalism at soft play centre

Updated: May 7, 2021, 3:50 pm © Steve MacDougall / DCT Media A 16-year-old from Perth has been arrested and charged in connection with an alleged “high value” vandalism at Noah’s Ark soft play centre. Police Scotland were called to the business on Old Gallows Road on Sunday May 2, shortly after 9pm. A clean-up operation was organised by the owners ahead of the activity centre’s planned reopening later in June. Tayside Police Division have now confirmed a 16-year-old has been charged in connection with the incident. A force spokesperson said: “A 16 year old boy has been identified and charged in connection with a high-value vandalism at the Noah’s Ark Activity Centre in Perth on Sunday 2nd May.

Perth woman forced her way into hospital staff base and attacked nurse

© Steve MacDougall / DCT Media A “frenzied” Perth woman stormed into Perth Royal Infirmary’s accident and emergency staff base and attacked an on-duty nurse. Elizabeth Williamson, of Leslie Court, had arrived at A&E at around 9.40pm on August 29 2019. Staff nurse Moira MacLeod was in the nearby treatment room area when Williamson began shouting aggressively in the reception area. Depute Fiscal Bill Kermode told the court the secure double doors, which usually block the treatment area from reception, were open. Williamson was shouting, “I need to see a doctor” and banging on the reception window. Mr Kermode said she then ran through the waiting room to the treatment area.
