Perth police slam 'selfish' littering as 16 youths dealt with for antisocial behaviour

Officers said it was “notable” that instances of antisocial behaviour in Perth had decreased from the previous two weekends. “Of the almost 200 or so young people that our officers spoke to and engaged over the weekend, the vast majority were well-behaved and posing no problems, and we would like to thank everyone who adhered to the current guidelines and enjoyed their weekend appropriately,” police said.

Sign Up A new £1.09 million council house development has been completed in a Perth and Kinross village as part of plans to provide more affordable housing. The construction of the 12 new homes at Meigle’s Ardler Road were put on hiatus last year during the first national lockdown but work restarted in June when restrictions eased. Erected by Perth and Kinross Council’s construction partner Hadden Group, the new development consists of six three-bedroom houses, two two-bedroom houses and four one-bedroom cottage flats.

It’s rare that there are such bittersweet farewells when lovers part on the concourse of a coach station or in a crowded car park. We need the steam, the plaintive whistle, and the waving. The waving from an open window is always good – if dangerous. Railways lines that are no longer in use have a particular place in our hearts. To that end, Perth Theatre and Culture Perth and Kinross have launched a search for storytellers who can share memories of those long-lost lines. These stories will form the core of an exhibition this summer called All Aboard! the Railways of Perth and Kinross, which will run at Perth Museum & Art Gallery from June 26 to September 19.
