PADDY Cunningham reckons his final few months as an Antrim footballer could be spent as an impact substitute, a change that he accepts would require a mindset adjustment.
The prolific attacker turned 36 yesterday and has vowed that this will definitely be his last year in yellow after agreeing to new manager Enda McGinley s plea to stick around.
Cunningham came out of a previous retirement to play for former boss Lenny Harbison in 2020, starting six League and Championship games and slotting 0-33.

Mickey Harte is relishing his first competitive game in charge of Louth’s senior footballers when they take on Antrim this Saturday afternoon.
The game will see Harte plotting against two of his former players in ex-Tyrone stars Enda McGinley and Stephen O’Neill with two early points up for grabs in Division 4 at the Geraldines GAA grounds in Haggardstown (throw-in 3pm).
Speaking to Sportsound Extra Time on BBC Radio Ulster, Harte said he’s been delighted with Louth’s commitment since taking over in the Wee County and feels that they will “want to strive to get to a new level”.
