A Kelseyville woman and her grandson suffered major injuries after crashing off a cliff into a river near Annapolis. Their SUV was driving westbound on Stewarts Point-Skaggs Springs Road Saturday morning when they were approached by another vehicle going eastbound. Being a narrow road, both vehicles shifted to the edge of the road and that is when the SUV plunged 100 feet over the cliff into the Wheatfield Fork Gualala River. The 66-year-old woman and her 11-year-old grandson were airlifted out of the vehicle and taken to Santa Rosa Memorial and UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital in Oakland respectively. Fortunately, their injuries do not appear to be life threatening.
