The Wisconsin pharmacist who pulled dozens of COVID-19 vaccine vials from a hospital refrigerator, agreed to plead guilty in federal court of attempting to tamper with the vaccine, a review by sister station WISN 12 News of the plea agreement determined.
The agreement, which was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin, allowed Steven Brandenburg, of Grafton, to avoid an indictment by a federal grand jury and plea to two counts of attempting to tamper with consumer products, with reckless disregard for the risk that another person will be placed in danger of death or bodily injury, the records show.

SHETLAND Islands Council leader Steven Coutts has backed calls from local authority body COSLA on the need for local government to receive a âfair funding settlementâ in the upcoming Scottish budget.
The Shetland West councillor said âwe need to ensure that we get a fair budget settlement in recognition of the crucial nature of council servicesâ.

Coutts said the council âvery much agreedâ with the sentiments of COSLA, which said the âtrend of recent settlements for local government needs to change because on top of existing pressures, the Covid pandemic has placed unprecedented strain on the finances of Scotlandâs councils this yearâ.

As part of his promise to tour his district to speak about the impact of the latest COVID-19 relief bill, Congressman Henry Cuellar (TX-28) made a stop in Webb County and an adjacent county.
On Monday, the congressman made a morning stop in the southern Webb County city of Rio Bravo, and by late afternoon he arrived in Zapata to discuss the same issues with the people. During both of his stops, he spoke to local officials and citizens to discuss the relief package and the resources and support that could be provided to both areas in light of the pandemic.
