Subscriber only A MAN meant to protect the daughter of a woman he loved instead allegedly subjected her to the most heinous of crimes, by raping her, recording the acts and sharing it online. The Burdell boilermaker, who cannot be named to protect his victim, was arrested on Tuesday for more than 32 offences he allegedly committed against a six-year-old girl in 2016. Police will allege the man raped and sexually abused the girl almost every month for a year. The young victim was the daughter of a woman the 35-year-old was seeing at the time. Police will allege that the man recorded his alleged sexual crimes and shared the material online.

Subscriber only A SERIAL offender with an atrocious criminal history has again been jailed after he attempted to enter a woman s car while she was refuelling at a Townsville service station. Frank James Bowman Shepard faced the Townsville Magistrates Court from prison and pleaded guilty to 11 serious offences including attempt to unlawfully enter a vehicle, evasion, obstruct police, driving without a licence, driving unregistered, uninsured and with number plates suspected of being stolen. He further pleaded guilty to several drug offences including possessing property suspected of being used in connection with the commission of a drug offence and possessing utensils or pipes for use.

Magistrate Steven Mosch slammed Travis Cameron Stengel s foolish behaviour when the father-of-two fronted the Townsville Magistrates Court on Thursday. The court heard police were called to a single-vehicle crash on Hamill St where Stengel had driven into a block wall and roller door at an industrial site.
