A warm front will lift toward the north Thursday morning, bringing cloudy skies and light to moderate rainfall throughout the late-morning hours around central, most of northern, and parts of southwestern New Jersey, according to private meteorologist Steven DiMartino, who runs NY NJ PA Weather. Around 2 p.m., a low pressure system coming from the Great Lakes will approach New Jersey, bringing light rain than strengthening to widespread heavy rainfall and severe thunderstorms throughout the afternoon and potentially into the evening hours, according to DiMartino.
