The Association of British Professional Conference Organisers (ABPCO) AGM, which was attended by more than 50 members, took place on Thursday, 24 June, as a digital event for the second year running.
The AGM revealed details of a Festival of Learning to take place in December, described as a “hybrid learning experience” delivered largely online. The seven days of content will finish with a face-to-face event and the annual ABPCO Excellence Awards.
During the AGM it was also announced that current ABPCO members would receive further financial support from the association via a 10% reduction in annual membership fees for existing members across 2022.

National flight school, American Flyers, has received the first eight Pilot 100i aircraft from manufacturer, Piper Aircraft, Inc., adding to their already extensive line of training aircraft.

Piper Aircraft received type certification from the Federal Aviation Administration for its Pilot 100 trainer aircraft, which was introduced at Sun-n-Fun in 2019. After certification, Piper began deliveries to its launch customer, American Flyers, which is scheduled to take delivery of eight 100i aircraft by the end of 2020.
The Pilot 100i is an IFR-certified version of the Pilot 100 equipped for VFR flying. The new trainer aircraft family is a derivative of the Piper PA-28 line, which first reached the market back in the 1960s as the Cherokee.

Piper Aircraft has received type certification from the FAA for the Pilot 100. The Pilot 100, which was announced during Sun-n-Fun in 2019, is the value priced addition to Piper’s trainer-class line. Following certification, Piper began deliveries to its launch customer, American Flyers, who will be taking delivery of eight Pilot 100i aircraft by the end of 2020.
