Man subjected bus driver to ‘terrifying’ assault A 23-YEAR-OLD man who subjected a bus driver to a “terrifying” assault has been handed a two-year probation order. Connor Oliver Floyd, of no fixed abode, appeared via videolink from Maghaberry Prison at Enniskillen Magistrates Court for sentencing concerning an incident on December 22 last. At 6.05pm, an emergency call was received from a Translink bus driver in Trillick, who said he had been assaulted by a passenger. The injured party had been driving from Enniskillen to Omagh with three passengers on board. The defendant first approached him at the South West Acute Hospital (SWAH) and asked if his girlfriend had got off the bus, and was told he had got on the bus alone.

Woman (19) disqualified from driving for allowing friend to drive her car A 19-YEAR-OLD woman has been disqualified from driving for two weeks after allowing her friend to drive her car. Enniskillen Magistrates Court heard on Monday that at 2:35pm on April 2, police observed a Volkswagon Golf travelling on the Cornagrade Road with a male driver and the defendant, Tanya Williamson, of Chanterhill Park, Enniskillen, in the back seat.  The defendant claimed to police that she had been drinking and was unable to drive her car. When questioned by the police, Williamson admitted she knew that permitting driving with no insurance was an offence. Defence solicitor Michael Fahy claimed that the defendant “believed that this was covered in her insurance”.

Man used counterfeit notes in two locations Posted: 4:42 pm May 7, 2021 SHARE AN ENNISKILLEN man who used counterfeit £20 notes in two locations in Enniskillen pleaded guilty to the offences at last week’s Magistrate’s Court. A representative from the Public Prosecution Service told the court that Christopher O’Connell with an address at Drumbawn Close gave over a counterfeit £20 note to cashiers at the McDonald’s restaurant in Enniskillen on 4th February 2020. The restaurant gave the note to PSNI officers who took it away for analysis. Ms Kennedy for the PPS also said that on Sunday, 10th February, 40-year-old O’Connell attempted to give another counterfeit £20 note over the counter at the Lakeside Filling Station in Enniskillen. The following day police officers called to his home when they observed Mr O’Connell pass his daughter some money and he was subsequently charged with tendering counterfeit currency.
