Every dance fan has a favorite Magic Tape.
The mixtape series by venerable Belgian producer The Magician has dropped regularly since 2010, with the artist born Stephen Fasano using each tape to showcase unreleased music by his friends and colleagues in the house, disco and nu-disco spheres. (My personal favorite, 2014’s entirely undeniable Magic Tape 46, still serves as a soundtrack for many runs and car rides.)
Today, The Magician conjures a major milestone: his 100th Magic Tape. The ebullient hourlong mix is out now via the producer’s own Potion Records and features music (all produced especially for this project) from all-stars including Pat Lok, The Aston Shuffle, Jean Tonique, Classixx and Boston Bun. Fittingly, the Tape’s lead track is Fasano’s own recently released single “One Vibration” featuring Clypso. Altogether, the project casts the same

Stephen Fasano, seen at right next to his lawyer Louis E. Diamond at a 2014 court appearance, had served six years of a manslaughter sentence of three to nine years for throwing the punch that resulted in Abdou Cisse s death on June 8, 2014.

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. Stephen Fasano turned 30 last week.
And the Midland Beach resident, who fatally punched another man while the victim tried to break up a fight seven years ago outside a West Brighton bar affiliated with the late “Mob Wives” reality-TV star Angela (Big Ang) Raiola, was free to celebrate his birthday any way he chose.
