The Detroit Lions lost to the Green Bay Packers on Sunday to drop to 5-8 on the season. Lions center Frank Ragnow played all 68 offensive snaps. This is not entirely notable until you take into account the fact that Ragnow suffered a
fractured throat during the game.
#Lions potential Pro Bowl center Frank Ragnow, who did not practice today, suffered a fractured throat in the first quarter Sunday and finished the game somehow, source said. He’s played the most snaps at center in the NFL this season… but could miss this week. Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) December 16, 2020

Lamar Jackson got cramps on Monday Night Football. He did not miss most of the fourth quarter on the toilet. That s according to Jackson himself who immediately faced questions about his bathroom behavior following the best game of the season. Jackson addressed it in his on-field interview and then again on Zoom where he said he, didn t pull a Paul Pierce. I didn t pull a Paul Pierce. I was cramping. @Lj era8
Just incredible. Even teammates were joking about the conspiracy after the game.

Mike Leach is not having fun anymore. As the Mississippi State Bulldogs prepare to finish their season against the Missouri Tigers, the curmudgeonly coach went on a rant about the hardships and uncertainty of playing college football during a pandemic which has now claimed the lives of 300,000 Americans. Leach, who was presumably paid to go on this rant next to a large bottle of Coca Cola, sounded fed up with everything he had to deal with this season and finished by blaming the politicians who made this one of the most joyless season on earth.

Mark McGwire is an American folk hero. There s really no other way to put it. He is permanently embedded in our national conscious as the man who, while in a heated race with Sammy Sosa, broke Roger Maris single season home run record in the summer of 1998.
Whether or not he is ever put in the Hall of Fame or officially recognized for hitting the 11th-most home runs in baseball history doesn t really matter. McGwire played from 1986 to 2001. He was Rookie of the Year, a 12-time All-Star, won a Gold Glove, three Silver Sluggers, and even got a World Series ring when he was a member of the Bash Brothers.

The Cleveland MLB team announced today that they would drop the Indians moniker that franchise has used for 105 years. While most people are trying to figure out a new nickname for the century old team, Donald Trump logged on to share his feelings of confusion and bad news and cancel culture.
Oh no! What is going on? This is not good news, even for “Indians”. Cancel culture at work! https://t.co/d1l0C9g6Pd Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) December 14, 2020
