Police release details about July 5 shooting in MeridenÂ

MERIDENÂ â Police released details regarding a shooting on July 5 at the Meriden Inn following an arrest earlier this week.Â
Stephan Kenyon Coney, 29, of 925 Oronoke Rd., Unit 25E, Waterbury, was charged Tuesday with first-degree assault, criminal possession of a firearm and carrying a pistol without a permit.Â
Coney is accused of shooting a man in the leg at the Meriden Inn, 1102 E. Main St., on July 5, Sgt. Darrin McKay said Friday. There was a previous dispute between Coney and the man that was shot, but the details about the dispute were unclear, McKay added. The man suffered non-life threatening injuries.Â

MERIDENÂ â A man faces charges after police said he was involved in a shooting in July at the Meriden Inn.Â
Stephan Kenyon Coney, 29, of 925 Oronoke Rd., Unit 25E, Waterbury, was arrested on Tuesday and charged with first-degree assault, criminal possession of a firearm and carrying a pistol without a permit.Â
Coney was charged âfor his involvement inâ a shooting at the Meriden Inn, 1102 E. Main St., on July 5, Lt. John Mennone said in a release. No other information about the shooting was immediately provided.Â
