The charities are the latest beneficiaries of the Aldi Community Grants programme.
The grant recipients were decided by the Aldi store teams, the Naas Regional Distribution Centre teams and the Head Office team in County Kildare.
Cheques for €500 were presented to Feileacáin, Naas Food Bank, St Raphael Special School, Women’s Aid Kildare, KWWSPCA, the Irish Wheelchair Association, Barretstown, Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital Crumlin and Pieta House.

A “commercially sensitive” issue involving NAMA is thought to be holding up progress on three planned new schools for Celbridge, a Kildare County Council meeting has been told.
At the Celbridge-Leixlip Municipal District meeting on January 22, Cllrs Ciara Galvin and Nuala Killeen asked council officials to outline specific reasons for the delay in progressing the three schools campus in Celbridge and work to accelerate the outstanding issues with all stakeholders.
They and other councillors are concerned about delays and the councillors agreed to contact both NAMA and the Department of Education about meeting them as well as meeting representatives from the planned schools, St. Raphael s Special School, Celbridge Community School and St. Patrick s National School.

Updates on school projects in Naas, Maynooth, Clane Prosperous, Kilcock and Enfield have been given by the Minister for Education in the Dail recently.
The two second level schools at the Moyglare Road campus in Maynooth, have been completed and are ready for occupation, the Dail has been told.
“While there are certain outstanding additional works to take place on site, the new school buildings were practically completed in December and are ready for occupation,” Kildare North TD, Bernard Durkan was told.
