Council member Robert Blackmon wants city officials to partner with local businesses and offer discounts and deals for people who receive a COVID-19 vaccination shot.
Blackmon says city leaders could designate between $10,000 and $20,000 for businesses still rebounding from the pandemic.
âTo me, it seems like a no-brainer,â said Blackmon. âDiscount cards, free breakfast sandwich, shots for shots or something like that for local bars.â

MJ Lallo spent 20 years in Hollywood doing voice-over work for cartoons before moving to St. Pete where she is now coaching others.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. â Many of us grew up watching cartoons, but one St. Pete woman grew up wanting to be a cartoon.
Those dreams came true for MJ Lallo. She voiced dozens of animated characters during her 20 years working in Hollywood.
Lallo remembers getting in trouble a lot as a kid for doing voices in school
âI remember going into the principalâs office once and he was like, âwhy do you do this Jerry Lewis thing,ââ said Lallo.
