The department says an autopsy is set to be performed to determine the 38-year-old s cause of death. No additional details have been released and the other inmate allegedly involved in the attack hasn t been identified. Corrections spokeswoman Samantha Rose said the incident is being thoroughly investigated. Freeman was serving a 15-year sentence for first-degree sodomy.

EAST CHINA, Mich. – A State of Emergency was declared in Saint Clair County due to the flooding along its titular river and ongoing cold weather is expected to bring more ice jams, causing more flooding concerns for residents.

“Although I had 1,500 sandbags around my house, it wasn’t enough,” Kuefler said.

ST. CLAIR COUNTY, Mich. – A State of Emergency was declared in Saint Clair County due to the flooding along its titular river.
Ice jams have caused the Saint Clair River to flood significantly. U.S. and Canadian Coast Guard teams have been working to break up the ice in order to allow the water to flow normally again, but water levels are still high in some areas.
Citizens who are impacted by flooding to their properties are encouraged to utilize the online self-reporting survey to catalogue and report damage. Photos may also be included.
