Free summer meals for children ages 18 years and younger will be available from noon to 2 p.m., Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from Wednesday, June 2 through Friday, Aug. 13 at the Hanover Park Branch Library, 1266 Irving Park Road. The boxed meals will be offered while supplies last and may be picked up from the library by parents or guardians to bring home to their children.
Adults may use Curbside Pick-Up or come inside. Those who choose Curbside Pick-Up should park in the designated spot and call (630) 372-7800.
Schaumburg Library Program Targets Hypertension, Kidney Disease Kidney disease and hypertension will be the subjects of an upcoming online health program coming to the Schaumburg Library.

Prevention and treatment of hypertension and chronic kidney disease will be explained by Dr. Rizwan Moinuddin during an upcoming online program at the Schaumburg Library. Hypertension and Chronic Kidney Disease will take place from 7-8 p.m., Wednesday, June 23 on Zoom. Interested adults may register at SchaumburgLibrary.org to receive the Zoom link, or watch the event live streamed on SchaumburgLibrary.tv.
Hosted by Dr. Dhananjaya and Dr. Bhoopalam, health care awareness committee members of Indian American Medical Association, this program will provide valuable information on the causes, symptoms, diagnosis, prevention and treatment options.
Online classes coming to the Schaumburg Library in June will help participants learn to use Google to create, design, and organize documents, photos and more.

Teens who are interested in programming are welcome to attend Tech Bytes: Algorithmic Programming from 4:30-5:15 p.m., Monday, May 17 online with the Schaumburg Library. Participants will learn to solve problems with the coding language Python. No experience is necessary.
Tech Bytes is the library s popular course taught by advanced high school students. It takes place on Google Classroom and will be recorded live and posted on YouTube. The class code for Google Classroom is qaf7ibj. Interested teens can register and get more information at SchaumburgLibrary.org.

Teens and tweens entering grades 7-12 are invited to find out about the Virtual Volunteen Card Challenge online from 6-7 p.m. Thursday, May 13, or 11 a.m. to noon, Saturday, May 22.
Participants will work toward the goal of creating 1,000 uplifting greeting cards for the organization CardzforKidz. The cards will be completed at home. Those interested in attending will learn how to make the cards and earn up to 10 service hours this summer.
