New Jersey Herald
Now that you re done shoveling the mounds of snow, it s time to have some fun in it.

From traditional skiing and snowboarding to snowshoeing and even organized snowman building, there are plenty of ways to get out and enjoy the wintry weather.
In Sussex County a big snowstorm means a trip to Mountain Creek Resort for a day of skiing and snowboarding down the steep slopes of Vernon. This week is no exception, as according to the Mountain Creek website, 44 of its 46 trails were open and eight of nine lifts were up and running Wednesday.

“Our cow saga is done,” Dartmouth Animal Control Officer Sandra Gosselin told the Dartmouth Week. “Hopefully that’s the only one I get all year.”

The sign outside the main entrance to the gym at St. Benedict’s Preparatory School pointed test-takers to another door well off to the side.
From 2 to 4 p.m. on a recent afternoon, the glass double doors at the Newark home of the St. Benedict’s Gray Bees basketball team were for egress only, with the more modest side entrance reserved for people entering the gym.
The pedestrian traffic scheme was intended to avoid close proximity between the St. Benedict’s students, staff and family members heading into the gym for the regular coronavirus testing that began this month and those coming out afterward. Most had spent about a minute inside, where they would check in, get a mouth swab taken, and leave, with their results sent to them in 48 hours.
