SARATOGA SPRINGS Skidmore College raised nearly $230 million during a seven-year campaign to support construction of the college’s new science building, expanded financial aid and other areas across the college.
The fundraising campaign, which concluded Dec. 31 with over 27,000 contributing a combined $229.4 million, marks the largest in the private college’s history. College officials said the money will be used to strengthen “every aspect of the Skidmore experience,” including for athletics, health and wellness initiatives, and arts programming at the France Young Tang Teaching Museum and Gallery.
