(Mehrdad Nazarahari/CBC) A man is dead and two suspects are in custody following a stabbing in Scarborough Thursday night.  Police say they were called to Kennedy Road and Antrim Crescent, near Highway 401 and Ellesmere Road, around 7:30 p.m. When officers arrived, they found a man in his 40s suffering from multiple stab wounds, police say. 

Police identify man killed in Scarborough stabbing, suspect charged with murder

  TORONTO Toronto police have identified a man who was killed in a stabbing in Scarborough Thursday night and charged another man in connection with the incident. When they arrived on scene, they said they located a man without vital signs. The man was rushed to hospital in life-threatening condition where he later died. He has been identified by police as Irwin McClean, 56, of Toronto. He is the city s 20th homicide victim of 2021. On Friday, police said that 32-year-old Toronto resident Adrian Cameron was arrested in connection with the stabbing and is charged with second-degree murder. Police are looking to speak with anyone who may have information relating to their investigation.

Man hit by vehicle in Scarborough suffers serious injuries

  TORONTO A man was hit by a vehicle in Scarborough Thursday afternoon and sustained serious injuries. Toronto police were called to the intersection of Kennedy Road and Sheppard Avenue East before 6 p.m. Police said a male pedestrian was found lying in the middle of the road after being struck by a vehicle. He was rushed to a trauma centre. His injuries were initially considered critical, police said, but were later determined non-life-threatening. The roads in the area will be closed for several hours for a police investigation. This is the second collision in the city on Thursday involving a pedestrian. Earlier in the afternoon, a woman was struck by a vehicle in North York was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
