Some people never learn

shutterstock.com One of the most memorable expressions of Gomer Pyle, the dimwitted Mayberry mechanic who became a bumbling Marine, was this gem:“Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.” Anyone can be fooled by a conniving person once. When the victim realizes that he has been taken advantage of, however, it behooves him to be wary of the person who took advantage. To let oneself be fooled by that same person again is just plain stupid.  Even stupider would be to broadcast the account of the second transgression and let the whole world know how flat your learning curve is.

Man claims he was hit with service cart aboard United Airline flights

First class flyer sues United Airlines after flight attendant bumps his elbow

Lapin HOUSTON – A local man is suing United Airlines, alleging flight attendants bumped his elbow not once but twice with a service cart. Scott Walkinshaw filed the suit Feb. 1 in Harris County District Court. According to his lawsuit, on April 23, 2019, Walkinshaw was traveling first class on an United flight. During meal service, two flight attendants “carelessly came barreling” from the back of the aircraft with a service cart, “which was not supposed to be in the First Class cabin to begin with,” to retrieve an item. In their rush, the flight attendants failed to notice Walkinshaw’s elbow was “protruding slightly into the aisle” as he cut his food, striking his elbow “with enough force to knock the utensil out of (his) hand.”
