Tami Garrett, who’s handling the project, and Design Review program manager

Atelier Drome‘s
Michelle Linden explained that the owner/developer (not identified by name at the meeting, but documents show it’s
Craig Haveson of
STS Construction Services [WSB sponsor]) “is going to be expanding his office into this building.” STS’s offices are currently in a nearby building recently expanded and branded as the
Livingstone Apartments. Linden noted that the main goal of the new project is “to provide dense housing in a frequent-transit zone,” she said. It’s planned for five stories – 77 apartments over the ground-floor office space – with no offstreet parking.

ARCHITECT’S PRESENTATION: Presenting from
Caron Architecture was principal
Radim Blazej, who brought a team including project manager
Andrew Kluess. They described the 5-story project as apartments – about 56, with 28 offstreet parking spaces (though none is required) – over commercial space fronting both Delridge and 18th.
For site context, Blazej pointed out that community efforts continue toward turning a nearby triangle of land into a park, and that there’s other redevelopment nearby, including new townhouses. Also, the site has to deal with three power lines running nearby.
