WOOD RIVER The electoral board recently denied several petitions to dismiss nominating petitions of four candidates for office in the April municipal election, but the conflict may continue.
“This is far from over,” said Chris Donohoo, of Wood River, an attorney for some of the four candidates.
He said he expects the objectors to take the matter to court.
“I expect they will file for judicial review, but there hasn’t been any evidence of any wrongdoing,” Donohoo said. “They just want to kick a select few people off the ballot.”
