EDWARDSVILLE What if every time you swiped your debit card, a portion of your purchase was used to make your community a better place? That’s the concept behind Scott Credit Union’s Epic and Blues checking accounts.
Thanks to members of SCU, nearly $85,000 was recently donated to the Scott Credit Union Foundation which supports local education and non-profit organizations. The money was donated at no cost to members every time they used their debit card in 2020.
The foundation established in 2018 raises its funds via Epic and Blues debit card swipes, along with its annual golf tournament benefit. The foundation supports local education through its “With You” grant program. “It’s simple for members who have an Epic Checking or Blues Checking to support their community,” said SCU Chief Marketing Officer Adam Koishor. “For every purchase they make with their debit card, we donate a percentage to the Foundation. This is our second year with the program, and we are proud of the impact it’s made already.”

EDWARDSVILLE, IL (January 21, 2021) In honor of its newest location, Scott Credit Union held a ribbon cutting ceremony on January 12 for its Affton, MO branch.
Located at 9100 Gravois Road in Affton, MO, the new branch is Scott Credit Union’s fifth location in Missouri and 20
th location overall. Its drive-up opened to the public in December.
“By opening this branch, we have taken another step forward in providing convenient access to our service for those who live and work in the St. Louis area,” said Frank Padak, Scott Credit Union president and CEO. “We’re looking forward to serving the community of Affton now and in the years to come.”
The Crestwood Board of Aldermen may vote tonight on a new zoning code for the city, marking the end of an undertaking that has been years in the making.
The Board of Aldermen is slated to hold a second reading on the new zoning ordinance when it meets by videoconferencing at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 22.
The revamped zoning code has been an ongoing project between the city and planning firm Peckham Guyton Albers and Viets since 2018. The Planning and Zoning Commission began reviewing the draft ordinance from PGAV in July 2019, beginning with the sign code, which was formally adopted by the Board of Aldermen in January this year.
