The United States Harness Writers Association (USHWA) has combined resources with several of the leading people and organizations in the industry to co-sponsor the USHWA/Scott Alberg’s monthly handicapping contests on Facebook.
The next event is this Saturday (July 17), the Meadowlands Pace, and features the overall first-place prize winner netting $500 in cash. The second- and third-place finishers will also receive special prizes. The contest has no entry fee.

To collect the cash, entrants must select the winner of the Meadowlands Pace. The contest commences when the judges supply the official race results, which will be posted on Alberg’s Facebook page on Thursday. Contestants need to choose the winner either by their name or post position number.

The United States Harness Writers Association (USHWA) has announced that it will, for the second-straight year, be the title sponsor of Scott Alberg’s monthly harness racing handicapping contest on Facebook.
Scott Alberg, the 2006 National Harness Handicapping Champion who also has numerous other handicapping titles, has been a Standardbred owner in the past, and has agreed to partner with USHWA as the contest s title sponsor again.
“I am looking forward to having USHWA as our title sponsor again,” Alberg said. “I know that with the support of USHWA our monthly contests are going to become very popular with the harness racing community and I can bet you it will draw some new faces to our sport too!”
