It’s difficult to underestimate the size and significance of Scottish whisky exports.
Even after the impact of Brexit, Covid and US tariffs, the export value of Scotch Whisky was still £3.8bn last year. That s roughly 20 per cent of all UK food and drink exports.

Not long ago, I visited the Lagunitas Brewing location in Seattle, aka The Taproom and Beer Sanctuary. I spent some time sipping beers with Dan Schmelzer, who pretty much runs the show in Seattle, at least as far as the beer is concerned. He conceives the recipes, brews the beer, cleans the kegs, and so on. At that time, he shared some good news about his flagship IPA, news that has now come to fruition: Shilshole IPA is available in cans.
Dan operates independently, essentially, with a pretty long leash from the Lagunitas Brewing Company HQ in Petaluma, California. In other words, the beers he brews are his own. Although Lagunitas is a California-based brewery, and although the company is a subsidiary of Heineken International, the beers brewed in Seattle, and available at the Taproom and Beer Sanctuary, are very much local creation

Tulips are a very hearty and beautiful flower that never fails to bloom! They are the most colorful of all spring flowers, and also the easiest flowers you ll ever grow.
Just plant the bulbs in the fall for blossoms the following spring. When we see their colors beginning, we know spring is really here.
We have only a short time to enjoy them because they don t last very long, about one to two weeks, depending on the weather. They do best if it stays cool.
Historians believe the tulip probably originated on land somewhere between Northern China and Southern Europe. The plants were soon cultivated in the Ottoman Empire, (present day Turkey) and then imported into Holland in the 16th century.

In their tiny rehearsal space in an old Birmingham, Ala., shopping center, where a mystery critter nibbled inside the walls, all eight members of the soul band St. Paul and the Broken Bones spent three-plus hours in mid-April playing their songs without masks or social distancing. The band members are fully vaccinated, and with outdoor tour dates planned throughout the summer, they needed to get back to business.
