Good morning, GGN! I hope you’re all having a great start to the day. The regular season schedule has been released, and the Jets open up the year in exciting fashion. Week 1 features the Jets heading to Carolina to face Sam Darnold and the Panthers. It will either be a revenge game for Sam Darnold, or a justification if the Jets can manage to pull out a win. The Jets will also be heading overseas, playing the Atlanta Falcons in London in Week 5. Thankfully for Jets fans, this game is considered an away game for the team, and all home games for the Jets will be at Metlife this season. Let’s hope the team gives us something to cheer for in Week 17. With that, here are your links to the team to start your morning.

Not long ago, I visited the Lagunitas Brewing location in Seattle, aka The Taproom and Beer Sanctuary. I spent some time sipping beers with Dan Schmelzer, who pretty much runs the show in Seattle, at least as far as the beer is concerned. He conceives the recipes, brews the beer, cleans the kegs, and so on. At that time, he shared some good news about his flagship IPA, news that has now come to fruition: Shilshole IPA is available in cans.
Dan operates independently, essentially, with a pretty long leash from the Lagunitas Brewing Company HQ in Petaluma, California. In other words, the beers he brews are his own. Although Lagunitas is a California-based brewery, and although the company is a subsidiary of Heineken International, the beers brewed in Seattle, and available at the Taproom and Beer Sanctuary, are very much local creation
Just who is Kyle Pitts?
With so many mock drafts tabbing Pitts as the Bengals’ likely selection with the No. 5 pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, maybe it’s about time to see what all the fuss is about.
“I don’t think (I’ve ever had a tight-end this high on the Big Board),” ESPN draft guru Mel Kiper, Jr. said on a recent First Draft Podcast. ”I mean I go back to Kellen Winslow Sr. (in 1987 NFL Draft). I scouted Kellen Winslow Sr., and it was at Missouri and was a great player for the Chargers. And he had a very high grade when he came out. But when you really go back to tight ends, (Pitts is) a receiving entity, I don’t know how we can.we have to come up with a name for that combo (of receiver and tight end). Because that’s what (Pitts is).
