SANTA CRUZ, Calif. - After a man turned himself in, police in Santa Cruz are seeking the public s help in investigating the killing of a 33-year-old woman inside a recreational vehicle that she had been living in.
Beau Joseph Paepke, 30, went to Santa Cruz County Jail on Thursday afternoon and told police that they would find a woman s body inside an RV then parked about a mile away in the 100 block of Front Street near the beach and boardwalk, police said Friday.

A 32-year-old Santa Cruz man was arrested Tuesday for attempted homicide in connection with the assault of another man in February at a homeless camp, Santa Cruz police said.
The attack was reported about 7 a.m. Feb. 24 at an encampment at San Lorenzo Park at 137 Dakota Ave., where officers found the victim suffering from severe head injuries. He was hospitalized in critical condition and is expected to survive.
Investigators identified the suspected attacker as Jose Dante Espinosa and obtained a warrant for his arrest on suspicion of attempted homicide.
