ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) – The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office arrests a man accused of criminal sexual activity with a minor.
Investigators say 31-year old Joel Shirk of Romulus is accused of disseminating indecent material to minors. It’s also alleged that Shirk subjected his victim to sexual activity on twelve occasions between August and October of 2020.
Among the charges he’s facing 12 counts of Criminal Sexual Act in the Third Degree and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Tags:

ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) – An Amish couple charged following the accidental drowning of their three-year old child.
The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office was called to the home on Ernsberger Road in the Town of Varick in October for the report of an unresponsive child. A joint investigation by the Sheriff’s Office and Child Protective Services concluded the child was left alone in a barn – and as a result of a lack of supervision, the child accidentally drowned in a container filled with liquid.
Samuel and Fannie Stoltzfus have been charged with Endangering the Welfare of a child.

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Lodi man following an investigation into domestic incident.
Deputies responded to a home on Brokaw Road in Lodi around 8:15 p.m. on Sunday for the report of a ‘family problem’.
Following investigation Daryl Madigan, 39, of Lodi was charged with forcible touching and second-degree harassment.
He’s accused of forcibly touching a female at the residence and then shoving her.
