Sudan will no longer restrict travel from India as COVID-19 cases in the South Asian country are decreasing. Instead, all travellers need to provide a negative COVID-19 PCR test. These rules were presented in a new bulletin issued by the Civil Aviation Authority on the basis of recommendations by the Sudanese Ministry of Health.
The Sudanese Ministry of Health yesterday announced that 29 new coronavirus infections were recorded on Monday, including eight asymptomatic cases among travellers. The Ministry has sent COVID-19 samples abroad to be tested on variants of the virus. At least 575,000 AstraZeneca vaccine doses are expected to arrive this month.
Sudan’s Minister of Animal Resources reported yesterday that the number of livestock exported during the first half of 2021 exceeds that of former years.
About 1,432,000 heads of livestock were exported in the past six months, compared to 1,035,000 last year. The export of meat during the first half of this year amounts to 14,493 tons.
