(DRYDEN, ON) – On May 5, 2021 at approximately 6:38 am officers from the Dryden Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) with the assistance of the Machin Volunteer Fire Department and Northwest Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded to a motor vehicle collision on Highway 17, Mutrie Township (west of Dryden).
The investigation revealed two commercial motor vehicles collided, blocking Highway 17. No injuries were sustained as a result of the collision.
As a result of the investigation a 27 year old Winnipeg man has been charged with Unsafe Move Lane or Shoulder.

COCAINE SEIZURE
Local resident arrested for trafficking cocaine
(KENORA, ON) – On February 18, 2021 members of the Kenora Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Organized Crime and Enforcement Bureau (OCEB) and the Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) conducted a traffic stop on a white pickup on Hwy 17 at Reddit Road in the city of Kenora. Investigation at the traffic stop lead to grounds to arrest the driver for possession of a controlled substance.
