A TREASURED village hall has received a facelift and Newsquest readers were full of praise for its custodians and financial supporters. Keekle Village Hall has seen the next stage in its refurbishment after receiving £32,000 from the National Lottery Community Fund. A £50,000 package of work has been carried out at the hall during the pandemic including re-wiring, insulating and re-plastering the walls and installing new heaters. It was phase two of developments, made possible by a group of beneficiaries. The National Lottery Award in 2020, with grants from the Dowager Countess Eleanor Peel Trust, Tesco and Asda, allowed access to further funds from the Village Hall Improvement Grant.
