An 18-year-old man and several members of his household are currently in police custody having been arrested in St James on Thursday during operation Strike Back.
Police said the family members were arrested during the exercise, which was conducted between 12 pm and 7 pm at Aboud Circular, St James, by officers assigned to the Western Division Task Force.

FILE: Detained patrons sitting on the dance floor of the Residence nightclub in One Woodbrook Place, while police officers verified their ID and other information, before releasing them.
Eighty five patrons who were allegedly caught by police during a raid at the Residence Night Club, One Woodbrook Place, St. James, earlier this year, have been charged and are expected to be appear before a Port-of-Spain Magistrate on August 30.
A police release said the accused people were charged via summons following an extensive investigation by Cpl Patino of the St. James Police Station.

Two guns and a quantity of ammunition were seized during an anti-crime exercise conducted in the Western Division.
Police said the exercise was conducted between Monday and Tuesday by officers of the Western Division Task Force.
A police release said around 4.30 pm, PCs Murray, Mc Clean and Sahadath went to an area known as “Duck Farm,” at the corner of Cizan Trace and Blue Basin Road, Diego Martin.
