Tim Peterson returns to Lexington after eight seasons in the New York Mets organization. He made his MLB debut with the Mets on May 30 th, 2018. After boasting a 2.45 ERA for the University of Kentucky, Peterson was drafted in the 20 th round of the 2012 MLB Draft by the Mets and went on to pitch in 28 games for the Mets during the 2018 and 2019 seasons. Peterson spent the 2019 season splitting time between the major league club in Queens and the Triple-A Syracuse Mets. Prior to making his Major League debut in 2018, Tim pitched in the prestigious Arizona Fall League impressing scouts and fans with a 0.87 ERA. During his eight professional seasons, Tim excelled with a 19-14 record and a 3.20 ERA. He tossed 357 innings striking out 414 batters while only walking 91.

Latest Dubai COVID-19 compliance checks result in 3 closures

File picture Dubai Municipality inspectors have ordered three establishments to shutdown for failing to adhere to the COVID-19 precautionary measures. A salon in Al Souq Al Khabeer was closed due to overcrowding and a shisha cafe was shut in Al Rigga for the same violation. In addition, a laundry in Karama was ordered to close for violating health and personal hygiene practices. A total of 33 warnings were issued during the checks. The authority said 98 per cent of the 2,442 establishments inspected were found to be in compliance. #DubaiMunicipality strengthened its inspection campaigns on establishments to ensure their commitment to precautionary measures. The new numbers posted show 1,706 positive cases involving Richland County residents, with 44 deaths, 1,636 people recovered, 32 now in quarantine due to contact, 26 current active positive cases all of which are in home isolation, and now 3 people hospitalized. There have been 24,837 COVID-19 tests conducted in Richland County, with 23,131 negative test results. For COVID-19 testing, contact the Carle Convenient Care Clinic along Route 130, just west of the Olney City Park. It’s open from 8:00 each morning until 8:00 each night, seven days a week.

UAE administers another 62,781 COVID-19 vaccine doses

More than 8.65 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in the UAE so far. According to the Ministry of Health and Prevention, 62,781 doses were given in the past 24 hours. The total number of doses stands at 8,659,503 with a distribution rate of 87.55 doses per 100 people.
