The recent violence in Albany has some community leaders concerned about their summer programs.
One of the two shootings on Friday happened right outside the JC Club children s feeding center. In fact, a bullet came through and smashed the glass window.
Pastor Charlie Mueller with Victory Christian Church says it s lucky that the staff member wasn t there at the time. Now he says unfortunately for the children, the summer program has to be suspended.
Mueller says they can t risk having children come to what he calls one of the most dangerous corners in the city, where people in an SUV stretched guns out of both the back and front seats and opened fire on a group at First and Quail, and also shot a man standing a little apart, killing him. Six people in all were shot there Friday.
