Alexander Weinstein: On Writing a Thematic Short Story Collection
Author Alexander Weinstein discusses how he came to select the theme of his new short story collection, Universal Love, and what it was like to see those themes reflected in the real world.

He is the Director of The Martha’s Vineyard Institute of Creative Writing and a Professor of Creative Writing at Siena Heights University.

One of the contestants on an upcoming episode of the TV show Jeopardy is Dana Schumacher-Schmidt, an associate professor of English at Siena Heights University.
Schumacher-Schmidt said she applied to be on the show by taking the initial 50-question test. After she passed the test and met the eligibility requirements, she was placed into a random selection process for an invitation to audition. She participated in a virtual audition in December, was placed into the contestant pool and waited to be invited to compete. Jeopardy is a quiz competition with clues in the form of answers, contestants must phrase their responses in the form of questions.

Poll Methodology
The rating committee is comprised of eight raters two raters per conference/group.
Each conference/group produces a conference rating from which raters will use to compile their national ballot. Only teams represented on the conference rating are eligible for the national ballot.
Each rater will submit a top 15 ballot, which will be used to produce the top 10 national rating and a list of other teams receiving votes.
