LAKKI MARWAT: The police claimed on Tuesday to have killed a suspected terrorist in an encounter in Wanda Maghara village of Lakki Marwat here on Tuesday.
An official said the police helped by the Counter-Terrorism Department commandos launched an intelligence-based operation in the rural locality of Kurrum Par.
He said on the night of May 8, a group of terrorists had attacked a temporary check point on the Indus Highway in the limits of Dadiwala police station, killing ASI Mohammad Shah and injuring constable Anwar Ali Khan.

ABBOTTABAD:
Six people lost their lives to the deadly coronavirus infection at Ayub Teaching Hospital (ATH) in Abbottabad on Sunday.
The victims were identified as Zainab, Parveen, Khan Bahadur, Nasir Mahmood, Zar Mohammad and Gul Faraz Khan, said a spokesperson.
He maintained that 80 patients were admitted at ATH while 16 of them are in critical condition in the ICU.
It may be recalled that the ICU of ATH can accommodate only 16 patients and is at full capacity at present. The hospital management strives to provide all possible facilities to patients, he added.
