COLUMBUS, Ohio A power outage at a Columbus apartment complex which forced a cooling center to be set up by the Red Cross, was the result of an issue with an underground cable owned by the apartment complex, according to AEP Ohio.
Residents at Latitude 525, on Sawyer Boulevard, told 10TV they started noticing issues with the power Monday evening.
Corey Paul, the executive director of The American Red Cross Greater Columbus Chapter, said volunteers with the Red Cross were called to help and set up an emergency cooling center Tuesday afternoon.

COLUMBUS, Ohio One person has been arrested and charged with murder in a shooting at an apartment complex just east of downtown Columbus.
Officers were called to the shooting scene at Skyview Towers on Sawyer Boulevard just after 12 a.m. Wednesday.
One man, who has not been identified, was found shot and pronounced dead at the scene.
On Thursday, police said 44-year-old Stevie Whitson Jr. is charged in the case.
