Saturday crash near Glen Rose leaves three dead
E-T staff report
A Saturday afternoon two-vehicle crash left three people dead just west of Glen Rose.
According to a DPS statement, at 3:42 p.m., Texas DPS was notified of the fatal crash on U.S. Highway 67 approximately three miles west of Glen Rose in Somervell County.
Preliminary investigation indicates a 2012 Fiat 500, driven by Linda A. White, 56, of Glen Rose, was traveling west on US 67. For an undetermined reason, the Fiat crossed the center stripe and traveled into the eastbound lane of travel.
The Fiat struck an eastbound 2015 Jeep Patriot, driven by Heaven Anita, 23, of Portland, Maine, head-on. The collision killed White and two passengers in the Fiat, 41-year-old Sarah C. Hale and 35-year-old Kimberly A. Robbins, both of Marshall, the release states.

DVSP hosting Moonshiner s Hike
Dinosaur Valley State Park is hosting a Moonshiner s Hike from 8-10 p.m. on Friday, July 23.
Explore the interesting history of moonshine in Texas. On this hike, we will learn how people made, hid, sold, and survived on moonshine in Prohibition-Era Texas. Along the way, you will see if you have what it takes to make it as a true Texas moonshiner by playing a game of luck.
This hike is about 3 miles long. The terrain is rocky and hilly. We will cross a river, so come prepared to get your feet wet. Good hiking shoes, water, and sun protection are recommended. This hike is recommended for ages 13 and older.
CHARLIE NORMAN
One might say I’m a sentimentalist at heart.
Maybe even to a fault, and that’s OK. You see, today I write this on a day that will be like no other in my life. I’m 70 years old now. exactly twice the age of my son Charles IV (age 35).
Tomorrow’s my birthday and so, there’ll never be another time in our lives that’ll happen (go figure). So I pause, savor the moment, and count my many blessings. My how the time flies. I remember when.
It seems the older I get, the faster time goes. In a few weeks, my wife and I will be welcoming our first granddaughter into the family (through daughter Noelle). So this little gal will be duly spoiled by me – not so much the five grandsons.
