Tajuddin questioned by MACC, police on separate cases on Thursday (May 27)

PUTRAJAYA: Former Prasarana non-executive chairman Datuk Seri Tajuddin Abdul Rahman was called by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) on Thursday (May 27) to assist in a probe carried out by the anti-graft authorities. It is understood that he was at the MACC headquarters for questioning late in the morning on Thursday. Sources who confirmed that Tajuddin was called for his statement to be recorded were however tight-lipped when asked on the nature of the investigation. However, it is learnt the investigation was in connection with claims of power abuse. The MACC has yet to issue a statement on the matter. Later on the same day, the Pasir Salak MP was questioned by police for allegedly flouting Covid-19 standard operating procedures during a press conference recently.

Investigation papers on Neelofa, husband s interstate travel violation sent to AGC on Friday (May 21)

SEREMBAN (Bernama): The investigation papers regarding interstate travel charges against TV host-entrepreneur Neelofa Mohd Noor and her husband Muhammad Haris Mohd Ismail have been sent to the Attorney General’s Chambers for further actionon Friday (May 21). Nilai OCPD Supt Mohd Fazley Ab Rahman said in a statement that the investigation papers were sent at 2.30pm. Regarding the issue of interstate travel to Nilai, the investigation papers were forwarded to the Attorney General’s Chambers for a decision relating to the matter in line with Clause (3) Article 145 of the Federal Constitution, ” he said. On Thursday (May 20), Muhammad Haris was charged on two counts of failing to comply with the standard operating procedure (SOP) of the conditional movement control order by not wearing a face mask and not scanning the MySejahtera app or recording his personal details manually to enter Kedai Naeem Carpet Sdn Bhd, Kawasan Perindustrian Nilai 3 on May 2.
