The late Baroness Shirley Williams, daughter of famous memoirist Vera Brittain, served as MP for Hitchin from 1964 to 1974 and for Stevenage and Hertford from 1974 to 1979. She later became a life peeress and served as President of Stevenage Liberal Democrats.

Feed Up Warm Up s Stevenage drop-in is moving from St Andrew & St George Church to Stevenage FC s North Stand.

Feed Up Warm Up s weekly Stevenage drop-in is on the move, as the town s football stadium is set to open its doors for clients to get food, clothing and support.
The charity, formed in 2018, is to move its Stevenage operation from the St Andrew & St George Church to the club s brand new North Stand, Stevenage FC has announced.

Concerns have been raised for a COVID-19 patient who was discharged from hospital to temporary accommodation without bedding, heating or a cup to drink from.
Feed Up Warm Up, which runs a drop-in for the homeless in Stevenage and Hitchin, received an email referral from North Herts District Council at 3.30pm last Thursday, and a telephone referral from adult social services at 5pm, regarding the man.

They were told the man was discharged from Lister Hospital at 12.30pm and dropped to temporary accommodation by the ambulance service.
