BBC ups Munson for daytime

UK pubcaster the BBC has promoted Helen Munson to commissioning editor for daytime and early peak. Helen Munson Currently head of planning and scheduling for daytime and early peak, a role she has held since 2015, Munson will be the first commissioning editor for daytime and early peak to be based in North East England. In her new position, Munson will support suppliers in the North of England, with a particular focus on building the supply base in the North East, as well as working alongside colleagues in Scotland. She will commission content for BBC1, BBC2 and BBC iPlayer, covering live, formatted factual, factual entertainment, scripted, entertainment and docuseries. Munson will report to Carla-Maria Lawson, the BBC’s head of daytime and early peak.
