Shaker Heights Library Board reports on renovation, finances
The Shaker League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan organization. Members attend City, School and Library meetings and write observer reports. Here are the highlights of the January 25 Library Board meeting:
- The Board reports that the Main Library renovations are on budget and on schedule. Completion is still expected to be October, 2021.
- The Main Library will close March 18-31 to allow books and equipment to be moved for Phase 2 of the renovation.
- Executive Director Amy Switzer announced that usage statistics show circulation of physical materials is gradually but steadily increasing; use of electronic materials remains steady.
