Photo snapping stations will help monitor local ecosystem

April 22, 2021 Some new additions to the Blue Water River Walk in Port Huron will help to show the changing local ecosystem in a new, interactive way. Sherri Faust from the Friends of the St. Clair River organization tells WPHM that visitors to the river walk will be prompted to take a snapshot using two new picture taking stations. Faust says the photo will then be sent to a company called Chronolog which will use the photos to create a timeline of the riverfront ecosystem. “We know the world is changing before our eyes, but now we will actually have documentation on how our environment is changing locally,” said Faust. The two photo taking stations are located along the Blue Water River Walk and are the first in St. Clair County with more possibly to come in the future.
