Late Tuesday evening, Pettis County Deputies attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle, but the driver fled.
Prior to approaching the city limits of Sedalia, deputies disregarded the pursuit to avoid potential injury in a heavily populated area.
Approximately two hours later, the vehicle was located once again in the northern portion of the county.
Pettis County Deputies accompanied by Missouri State Highway Patrol, successfully deployed stop sticks just south of Houstonia and disabled the vehicle safely.
Two individuals were taken into custody without incident, according to Sheriff Brad Anders

Two Smithton Residents Arrested in Burglary Case
On Monday, Pettis County Deputies responded to Florence Road and East Smithton Road for a burglary report.
The caller was able to give deputies a detailed description of the suspect vehicle and partial license plate info.
During investigation, deputies were able to identify the suspect vehicle from previous contact. They later located it in the 400 block of South Grand.
In addition, deputies located several items inside the vehicle that was reported stolen to the Pettis County Sheriff s Office.
Deputies arrested two people inside the vehicle, including John Wayne Sant, Sr., of Smithton, and Crystal G. Vansel of Smithton.
