Great teamwork, and compassionately serving Veterans while promoting VA’s core values, are traits that earned Registered Nurse Erik Wesolowski the “DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses” from the Sheridan VA Health Care System. Wesolowski is the third nurse to receive a DAISY Award at the Sheridan VA this fiscal year.
The Sheridan VA Health Care System has announced registration is now open for a virtual listening session May 6, at 1 p.m. to hear from veterans and the communities the system serves.
This is one of 50 public virtual listening sessions across the country from March through June 2021 to hear from veterans on how to design a health care system of the future and grow services for veterans in a way that reinforces VA’s role as a leader in the U.S. healthcare system.
“We want to hear from veterans and other stakeholders in the communities we serve to understand their vision for VA health care,” Sheridan VA Health Care System Director Pam Crowell said. “We want to ensure we continually improve on care so we can have the best VA health care system that meets the needs of veterans today and for generations to come. The best way to do that is hear directly from those we serve.”
Sheridan College’s Spring Career and Network Fair will be virtual this year.
A joint effort of Sheridan College, the Wyoming Department of Workforce Services and the Sheridan VA Health Care System, the fair will be April 27 and 28.
As in years past, the event will include sessions with employers, but employers must register to participate. More information on the career fair and how to register is available through the Sheridan College Career Fair page on Facebook.
Those who attend the career fair can learn about area businesses and employment opportunities available, and can ask questions of participating employers. Employers can use the fair to fill part-time and full-time jobs, internships, co-op opportunities and seasonal jobs.
