NOIDA/GHAZIABAD: The drive-in vaccination session was extended to five sites from the existing two in Noida on Saturday. Now, three of the locations are in Greater Noida and two in Noida.
Last week, when drive-in vaccinations were launched in the city, the sessions were held in DLF Mall of India in Sector 18 and Shaheed Vijay Singh Pathik Stadium in Greater Noida.
The session sites that were added on Saturday were GIP Mall in Noida, and Omaxe CP Mall and Gaur City Mall in Greater Noida.
“The objective is to ease the process of getting the vaccines,” district magistrate Suhas LY said about increasing the session sites. The target is to inoculate at least 100 recipients at each of the sites, sources said.
Temporary membership will be offered for three months and six months at Rs 10,000 and Rs 15,000, respectively
GREATER NOIDA: On January 1 next year, the Greater Noida authority will open memberships to the Shaheed Vijay Singh Pathik sports complex after a gap of four years. Besides, some of the new sporting activities that the stadium has introduced swimming and squash will be open for members sometime in 2021.
The management has decided to offer a lifetime, yearly, temporary and casual memberships to the sports complex users. The short-term memberships, which were not available earlier, have been added to the list of options for tenants, visitors and expats who stay in Greater Noida for smaller durations. Currently, nearly 800 members indulge in sporting activities at the stadium that became partially functional in 2016. Built over a 35-acre-land, the complex had a budget of Rs 130 crore.
