Public hearing for Darke Co. Parks, Fort Jefferson residents

GREENVILLE On Thursday, May 20, 2021, at 5:30 p.m., a public hearing will be held at the Shawnee Prairie Preserve Nature Education Center, 4267 St. Rt. 502, Greenville, to discuss the possibility of a new management contract agreement to be signed between the Ohio History Connection and the Darke County Park District.
Potential transfer of the property will be discussed, mission statements of the groups and how they pertain to the management of Fort Jefferson, along with plans for this Ohio Historical Site will also be shared. Supervisors from the Ohio History Connection will be on site to answer questions along with Darke County Parks Director, Roger M. Van Frank and members of the Friends of Fort Jefferson 501C3. Friends of Fort Jefferson and residents from Fort Jefferson please plan on attending this informative session.
